Valencia, one of Spain’s most popular coastal cities, is experiencing strong demand for properties from French visitors since the start of the year.

In fact, despite the pandemic, demand for affordable luxury property in Valencia continues to rise. As people look to change their working habits, couples as well as investors and entrepreneurs have been leaving cities like Paris, Lille and Lyon to find sunshine in Valencia.

Spain has long been a popular destination for French tourists, and local real estate businesses like Found Valencia are helping international expats find new homes in the local area.

With lots of outdoor space being a key requirement emerging from the pandemic, French buyers are looking at properties that have a garden, with strong digital connectivity. With Valencia’s investments in infrastructure, good local transport, and fibre broadband internet – there are many positives for France’s ‘digital nomads’ eager to change how they live.

For Parisians that want to invest abroad, or for the affluent residents of the Côte d’Azur eager to expand their property portfolio, they only have to take a flight from Nice, or drive down to Spain to see what’s on offer.

And for families looking to make the move, Valencia has a number of schools and universities in the region that are among Spain’s top educational establishments. The region is also making huge strides in tackling climate change with more than two million square metres of gardens and a comprehensive green initiative being implemented over the next 10 years.

With just a 5 hour drive from France’s border with Spain, Valencia has seen a steady uptick in French tourism over the summer – and as properties become increasingly attractive, there’s reason for optimism in the new year as Spain continues to be a number one destination for French families and business travellers alike.
