The Parcoursup main admission phase will begin on Monday 2 June 2025 at 7:00 p.m. At that time, candidates will be able to view the first responses to their applications. To ensure equal access for all users, the platform will initially open in consultation mode only. Later in the evening, candidates will be able to begin responding to any admission offers they receive.
This year’s main admission phase affects 980,000 applicants who confirmed at least one higher education choice on the platform.
The main phase runs from 2 June to 10 July. Candidate files are updated daily based on changes in waiting lists. When applicants receive one or more admission offers, they are notified by email and text message. Parents are also alerted if their contact details were provided.
In 2024, 94 percent of high school students registered on Parcoursup received at least one admission offer. On average, each received nearly six offers, and more than nine out of ten had at least one proposal by the end of the main phase. This year’s objective is to speed up the offer process to ensure more students receive at least one admission before written baccalaureate exams begin.
To help meet this goal, the 2025 schedule includes a key step between 6 and 10 June. During this period, candidates with offers on hold will be asked to rank their choices by preference. These rankings will be taken into account starting 11 June, which will help speed up movement on the waiting lists.
Candidates will receive support until they make a final decision about their academic future. Multiple resources are already available to help students, families and school staff guide them through the process.
A public training site has been available since April on Parcoursup.gouv.fr. It allows users to practice key actions such as accepting or declining an offer, managing waitlist options, and understanding indicators related to admission chances. The platform includes guidelines and quizzes to help users become more familiar with the system.
Additional resources including tutorial videos and infographics are available on the official website. Live chat and Q&A sessions are also being organised regularly by the Parcoursup team and local education authorities, both before and after 2 June.
In schools, staff have been asked to organise guidance sessions starting 3 June to assist students with their choices. Lead teachers have access to a dedicated dashboard, available since February, to monitor their students’ progress throughout the procedure.
The complementary phase begins on Wednesday 11 June 2025. This step allows candidates to submit new applications to programs with available places. It is particularly aimed at those who did not receive any positive responses, offering new opportunities ahead of the baccalaureate exams.
From 3 June, the Parcoursup team will reach out by email and phone to guide these applicants and suggest next steps. Candidates can also revise their plans in consultation with school staff or career advisors.
Those still without an offer by early July will be able to request assistance from regional higher education access committees starting 1 July. This will take place before baccalaureate results are published, offering further support in securing a place for the upcoming academic year.
